Welcome to The Abbey School
Class of 1969 Website
In the
fall of 1965 a disparate group of fine young men were
snatched up from their peaceful world, packed up and
shipped off to begin an adventure that would, in one way or
another, shape their lives for years to come. They were
sent to the Holy Cross Abbey School in Cañon City,
Colorado. The time we spent there was much more than just a
formal education. It was a time to grow socially, mentally,
and emotionally.
Here we will try to keep alive some of those adventures. We
have been going our separate ways for the last 40 years,
but the common bond of those precious years at the Abbey
School is still with us. To keep that bond tight here we
hope share news, stories, gossip, tragedies, photos and
other memorabilia from our days together from1965 – 1969
and our days apart since then. We invite you to share your
information with your classmates. Send us stories and
photographs and we will find a place to put them. We would
like to make these pages as somewhat of a virtual class
reunion.
We also welcome
news and photos from other Abbey classes here. If we get
enough interest we will create pages for other years and
make this a central point of contact for Abbey Alumni.
